Busy day at the Asian Le Mans Series today. Both FP2 and the qualifying took place this morning.
Anders Fjortdbach from Algarve Pro Racing Team with co-drivers Chris McMurry and Mark Patterson, started their day with a very strong performance in the FP2, finishing in P4. Their car, #25 did 26 laps with a best time of 1:58.041. They were almost half a second ahead of the #24 sister car, which ended in P5, clocking a best 1:58.521.
As for the Qualifying Race, Anders Fjordbach finished in P7.
“P7 is not what we hoped for. I didn’t get a proper lap put together, eventhough my best sectors would have been a potential second row start. Starting in the back of the LMP2 field is not what I am here for, so right now I am disappointed”, says Anders Fjordbach
While this is not exactly the result Anders Fjordbach was aiming for, PeakOptical keeps an optimistic attitude and it is excited for the big race tomorrow. PeakOptical is supporting Fjordbach’s campaign in the Asian Le Mans Series 2018/2019 season, where he aims to pre-qualify for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, taking place in June 2019.
